I am Mattia, an agronomist with a specialization in natural resources management. My academic and professional life led me to work on different projects across Europe, orienting my interest to the management of agroecosystems, in the view of an environmentally sustainable agricultural production within the context of global change. I’ve decided to start a blog, Agrisustainia, to share my passion about sustainability issues in agriculture and with the hope of sensibilizing people about the importance of supporting an environmentally friendly agriculture. Currently, I am working on a project led by the Institute of Life Sciences at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa, Italy), aming at the realisation and validation of an autonomous robot to support the agronomic management of olive groves and crop protection against Bactrocera oleae (olive fruit fly).
